Here’s the deal. People hate missing out on stuff. We call this FOMO. The fear of missing out.
And the key to using it successfully as a marketer is to use some kind of scarcity or urgency in your message.
Some kind of incentive that’s going to disappear if they don’t take action soon, ideally immediately.
You can use this by setting a deadline or limiting your supply.
It works because if there is a choice between taking action now or later people tend to choose later.
And typically later usually means never.
